EXPO 2025, which opened in Osaka on April 13, marks Japan’s first world exposition in 20 years since Expo 2005 in Aichi. We at Feel Records were honored to participate in this international event.
Based in Hyogo Prefecture, Feel Records took part in the “Hyogo Field Pavilion,” a unique initiative that presents the entire region as a single, living pavilion to highlight its culture, industries, and creativity. Recognized as an official program participant in February 2023, we joined the Hyogo Field Pavilion Festival 2025—held over five days starting May 26 at the Expo venue—with a special event that brought our signature energy to the festival.

Amid a wide range of exhibits showcasing Hyogo’s local cuisine and traditional industries, Feel Records contributed with a presentation that reflected our distinct style and spirit.
On stage was BEAT TRICKS, a DJ unit composed of DJ SHARK, DJ SANCON, and DJ SUWA—artists who previously electrified the floor at the “METRO de Night?” anniversary event at our Kyoto Hanare shop. For EXPO 2025, they delivered a special live set designed for the occasion, using music and vinyl culture to connect with a global audience.

The performance took place in “Gallery WEST,” a seated venue with a more reserved setting. At first, the atmosphere was subdued, but as the DJs skillfully blended hit tracks and live scratching across four turntables, the energy quickly shifted. Guests began rising from their seats, drawn in by the rhythm, dancing and engaging with the performance.
What began as a quiet, formal room transformed into a lively, open space filled with connection and movement. The experience was a powerful reminder of music’s unique ability to break boundaries and bring people together.

Although our appearance was scheduled on a weekday, the Expo site was packed with visitors. Many were international guests, clearly enjoying the diverse range of national pavilions. The more popular ones required advance reservations, and the entire venue buzzed with energy and excitement.
We didn’t have a chance to explore the pavilions from the inside, but even from the outside, there was plenty to enjoy. Each country’s pavilion stood out with distinct, often artistic architecture. Just walking the grounds and observing the various structures felt like visiting an open-air museum.

One must-see location for music lovers is the Water Plaza. Its expansive floating stage hosts stunning shows combining music, fountains, and choreography. In the evening, the addition of lighting and projection mapping transforms it into a breathtaking spectacle that leaves a lasting impression.

Another highlight of the Expo is the food. With nations from around the world participating, it’s a rare opportunity to enjoy authentic international cuisine all in one place. We tried Vietnamese and Indian dishes—both were exceptional. With over 90 dining locations throughout the venue, it’s easy to turn your visit into a culinary adventure.
Walking through the Expo grounds, it became clear just how much there is to see, experience, and discover—far more than can be done in a single day. We’re grateful to have taken part in such a meaningful and historic global event, and we hope our contribution helps draw more attention to the rich culture and creativity of Hyogo Prefecture.
